FUD. Any LGPL project can be forked, as long it stays LGPL-compatible.

But indeed, you (and many people here) have a point. If you don't care 
about the philosophy behind the GPL and LGPL licenses (at the point of 
calling them "viral"), using them won't bring you any good. The only 
definitive argument against [L]GPL is: "I don't want it". Fine, end of 
story. But arguing that one has "more advantages" will only generate a 
flamewar - because it all depends on your point of view.

So, LGPL isn't any better or worse than any other license; it all 
depends on what you want.
