What I meant to say was that math and physics textbooks typically 
use right-handed rules, as does OpenGL and the DrawStuff library. 
ODE is handedness-neutral, as I've been known to say on many 
occasions.

If you choose to interpret the numbers you take out as left-handed, 
then rotations will be clockwise. If you choose to interpret the 
numbers you take out as right-handed, the rotations will be 
counter-clockwise.

In either case, a 90 degree rotation of X around Z will yield Y.
