[ODE] Simple avatar setup

The list archives report good results from either using a
ccylinder with an amotor to keep it upright, or a hovering
sphere with a ray to "sense" where the ground is and apply
spring forces to keep it at a constant height above ground.
Set friction to 0 (use frictionless contacts) to avoid
jumpyness.

hello, how can I implement a simple avatar, like a
ellipsoid wich does not rotates, but can collide and
slide on the world? I tried applying forces to a box,
but it jumps and rotates. I am implementing a
character for a game, I dont need advanced phisic
simulation (like legs and knees..) moving the elipsoid
is ok.
I had ckecked the mail list, and it seem it there isnt
a clear way to do it..
