[ODE] ODE general questions

Hi,

I am not yet a user of ODE. I have just discovered it and I wonder if
it is the tool that I need.

First sorry for my not excellent english  ;o)

Here my needs. We are a laboratory that works on ergonomy and mecanical
products design and we curently working on the possibility of doing an
haptic simulator that could help to simulate virtual forces and masses
on real humans in order to be able to have the capable limits of
people.

The simulator will be the combination of :
 - vizualisation helmet with stereo sight capabilities
 - two gloves that inform us about fingers position (not haptic)
 - tracking system in order to have the body position
 - two haptics arms (http://www.haption.com) in order to have forces
and masses interact with the user

We know other laboratories that use Vortex to do the physics real-time
simulation and I want to know if ODE is able to do the physic real-time
simulation of a 3D scene and if it can interact with the haptic arms
(like Vortex) ?

Another thing I want to know is if there is some people that could help
us in order to link ODE and the other equipments ?
