Hi, i'm just about to "pre-release" an ODE gui editor which has the ragdol
as one of the demos.
it will allow you to take a skinned/skeletal object (from 3dstudio or other
3d design editors) and visually map proxy objects and joints to the skeleton
so they resemble in shape, the skinned object. then, in the gui you can run
an ODE simulation. once you are happy with what you see, you can either make
a video recording of the simulation using FRAPS or write your own programs
(using Ogre3d.org as a base graphics library), reading the XML file that was
output from the GUI into C++ classes and manipulate the joints and forces as
you wish.
so give me another couple of days and i'll announce it on the mailing list.
Cheers,
Limor
