I've got a car simulation that I'm happy with, using a box, 4 spheres, =
and 4 hinge2's, and I'm applying forces to the hinge2 motors.
However, with large numbers of cars, this is far too expensive - =
especially in 10 or 20 car pileups (too many motors and joints =
involved!). My next thought is to have a much simpler car simulation, =
but I'm not too sure how to go about doing this.
I have two guesses...
First idea is to have a box sitting on the ground. It would have low =
friction in direction1, higher in direction2. I would apply forces =
straight to this box to push it along. The problem here is that the car =
wouldn't go up a kerb as much as somersault over it.
Secondly is to have the car sitting on some sort of single soft spring.=20
I'm really not sure how to go about doing this - does anyone have any =
good ideas or input?
