[ODE] Real-world values

Hi all, first time posting. I'm interesting in using real-world values
for simulation - kilograms (between 500-10000), meters (between 0.1-50),
seconds, -9.8 gravity, etc. What are the ramifications of using
real-world values with ODE? I've toyed with the buggy demo (as everyone
else has I suspect :-) ) but can't seem to get everything to gel
together well. Making a 4-wheel buggy was pretty trivial but I'm a
relative novice to physical simulation so anything that can be suggested
would help.
