[ODE] ODE behaving differently for different renderers

Hi
I am using Gamebryo 1.2 for a simulation project.
When I use a World Gravity of -0.5, my world becomes a moon and objects
simply bounce out of the world once they hit the ground. While a -0.5 used
in the ODE demos gives a perfectly real gravity effect. What could be the
reason for such a difference, as the ODE world in both the cases should be
same.
I have not changed the dimensions of the objects, and the friction and
bounce parameters in my simulation are the same as those in test_buggy demo
of ODE. Also I am providing the same timestep of 0.05f as applied in the ODE
test_buggy demo.
Please let me know if I should provide any other information on the problem.
Thanks and Regards
PKS
