[ODE] ode error messages

I'm currently trying to debug a game that uses ode. I get a number of errors
like
ODE Message 2: vector has zero size in dNormalize4()

I would like to get some kind of stack trace, an assert of something like
that instead of just some text on the output... How do I get that?
