I'm working on something like that, but it's not finished yet.
I put some simulation results (rendered with povray) on my website:

You will also find some source code for the ODE stuff (main4.c) and
the povray stuff (test4.pov) I'm not just making a passive rag-doll,
I'm also adding powered joints and some self-balancing and walking
routines.
