Can you try a double precision build, and see if this helps?
my double precision ia32 debian build is OK if I disable graphics.

I think that drawstuff has a resource leak somewhere, and the
excessive opening of new glx windows causes a segm violation for me.
Without gfx, it is ok.
I added a XCloseDisplay() to x11.cpp call, but that did not help.
