[ODE] ODE user guide in PDF format

just for laughs i've converted the ODE user guide into PDF format.
there's no new content yet, and there's still a few PDF formatting
errors, but here it is:

this is basically an experiment to make sure i can access all the
required PDF features like table-of-content bookmarks and so on. i was
surprised at how many pages it was in this book-like format - with all
the gaps filled in it could easily reach 200 pages.
