When data size is small, other things (such as cache and TLB misses) may dominate.

Looking at figure 8.1 in the manual (Speed advantage of Stepfast), why isn't
the speed difference more extreme ? If dWorlStep takes m cubed time (m=50 ->
125,000 units) and Stepfast takes m*iter (m=50, iter=20 -> 1000) shouldn't
the graph look quite different, rather than Stepfast running at 80% of
dWorldStep for m=50, iter=20 ?
