Look at the FAQ at the end of the ode docs. That exact question is
addressed.

Subject: [ODE] placing static (non-moving) geoms
Date: Tue, 15 Apr 2003 08:10:40 -0700

Hi all

Can anyone please tell me how to place a geom (at a location other than
the origin) that is non-moveable, or for which collision works, but physics
doesn't? I want to place the walls of a building, and I don't want them to
be moveable, but I want collision detection to work against them. Guess I
could use another product, but I thought maybe there was a way to do this in
ODE.

Thanks
   Bootshine
