the 'community' section has links to some downloadable demos. as far as
'news' goes - various incremental improvements have been reported only
on the mailing list in the past months, not on the web site. i'm
gradually working towards a new release that will fix a number of
long-outstanding issues and also finally integrate some of the 'contrib'
code that has been contributed.
