I'm new to ODE, and inexperienced with C++ and the Microsoft Visual C/C++
6.0 IDE, so please bear with me.
I wanted to try out ODE and some of the test programs. I downloaded ODE
0.03, and followed the installation instructions in the User Guide.
I set MSVC's path variables during its installation, downloaded the GNU make
tool from the ODE web site, left the user-settings with PLATFORM=msvc and
PRECISION=DOUBLE, and ran make in the ODE directory.
This is some clips of the results:
...
ctest.c(1) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'alloca.h': No
such file or directory
...
ctest.c(2) : error C2143: syntax error : missing ')' before ':'
ctest.c(2) : error C2059: syntax error : ')'
...
*** configurator succeeded ***
...
cl /nologo /DWIN32 /DMSVC /c /GR- /GX- /W3 /GF /Oy /Iinclude /DdNODEBUG /O2
/Fo
ode/src/array.obj ode/src/array.cpp
Command line warning D4002 : ignoring unknown option '/Oy' (this is shown
loads of times}
...
LIB : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file "lib/ode.lib"
MAKE: *** [lib/ode.lib] Error 1104
I don't appear to have a lib/ directory at all. Am I missing something?
Could anyone suggest what I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
Pete.
