Position available to work on a groundbreaking artificial-life,
cross-media entertainment project for Creature Labs in Cambridge,
England. Based on Artificial-life the project involves evolution,
distributed artificial worlds and mass audiences.
The candidate will work within a team of developers and will be
responsible for customising and optimising 3D real-time physics
engines for particular applications.
The primary requirement of the candidate is a strong background in
applied mathematics and numerical algorithm optimisation. Experience
working with 3D real-time physics engines is essential.
The candidate will be working in C++ and C, experience in processor
optimisation would be a bonus.
Must work well within a team and be capable of working to tight
deadlines in a dynamic environment. An interest in Artificial-Life is
required, particular interest in evolutionary systems, neural networks
and control theory would be beneficial.
The position is due to open summer/autumn 2002 and Creature Labs will
be interviewing for the best candidate in the preceding period.
