[ODE] Re: SOLID 2.0.2 & ODE anyone?

To answer my own question:

I've spoken with Olivier Michel, the maintainer of the opensource version of
SOLID on sourceforge.net (the original author Gino van den Bergen has 
started
a company and taken SOLID commercial starting with v3.0).
He has kindly posted SOLID 2.1.0, which includes a function in the API for
explicitly querying for collision between any pair of objects.
Although I haven't implemented it yet, that would seem to fit what's 
necessary
for ODE's user collision functions.

Currently, SOLID 3.0 provides penetration depths, whereas SOLID 2.1 doesn't.
