[ODE] I_Collide or RAPID for collision detection?

I am looking at ODE for a preprocessor for the freeware / multiple
platform POV-Ray raytracing package.
I would be interested in more accurate collision detection, although the
rest of ODE seems to be a pretty good 'fit' for what I'm looking to do.
Would it be possible to use I_Collide or RAPID (or other package) for
collision detection?
Is there any need for someone to paste one of these libraries in?
